What is a Patience Participation Group?

A group of registered patients and Practice staff who make contact frequently to discuss and make decisions about the Practice and how it is able to service the community with improved healthcare services and facilities.

What is the purpose of the PPG?

  • For the Practice and the Group to agree what could enhance the Practice
  • For the Practice to understand the patient's point of view and to encourage positive feedback
  • To actively encourage and welcome comments, suggestions from members of the local and wider community.

What is our aim in forming a PPG?

We aim to have a very active Patient Participation Group which are in regular contact with representatives from the Practice to discuss topical issues, express their views on planned service developments and to raise any issues which are of concern and/or will help to improve the standard of care offered by the Practice.  If you would like more information about become a member of the Group, pick up a questionnaire from one of our Reception team or join using the link below.

Why not start by completing one of our annual local Practice Surveys about the Practice to let us know what you think of the service and experience you receive which can be found at the bottom of the home page.

We would like to know how we can improve our service to you and how you perceive our Practice and staff.

To help us with this, we are setting up a Virtual Patient Participation Group so that you can have your say. We will ask the members of this PPG some questions from time to time, such as what you think about our opening times or the quality of the care or service you received. We will contact you via email and keep our surveys succinct so it should not take too much of your time.

We aim to gather around a hundred patients from as broad a spectrum as possible to get a truly representative sample. We need young people, workers, retirees, people with long term conditions and people from non-British ethnic groups.
